It's my party

And I had a blast...no crying necessary. Brittany and Jeremy had us over for a wonderful picnic and outdoor concert. We had a ball and the boys RAN like crazy.
She decorated her house all in pink and green and had the cutest cake. Jack dug his little fingers in it as soon as we got there. Look at all these goodies. You can tell she knows me well. We got to the beach every year so she got me goodies for this years trip.
I will be using this at the pool as well. Love that she got me the packing list...I love to travel... and I LOVE lists. With all this rain lately I was saying I needed an umbrella...I got one now! Look at this adorable luggage tag. It matches my Vera Bradley bag perfectly. Even the card was perfect!
'Thank you Britt for being such a dear friend who never ceases to amaze me and exceed my expectations (inside joke for Britt)! You and your family are a blessing to me daily. Next year you better bring this cutie to the beach with us!

Bubblegum Love

I got some of this fabric from the Sweet fabric line....
it reminds me of bubblegum.
So yesterday I made several things from it.
Like this pillowcase dress. And this cute little pin cushion. I also made an apron from this apron tutorial. Love this fabric. It is too much fun.

Gearing up for Summer

I LOVE summer! I mean LOVE!
I have been working in our backyard to get it looking nice for us to enjoy. I have always wanted a table outside so we could eat. Well, before the 115 degree heat hits. Yesterday I got one.
We already ate lunch out there...too much fun. The boys loved it.

A look at what's blooming in our yard.

And finally....look at this super cute sign my friend Brittany picked up for my craft room.

I think it is pretty fun!

Jack's Quilt (UPDATED)

I finished Jack's quilt for his bed and am pretty pleased! I think he was too...he said "WOW!" Sam liked it too!

They had to play trains a little longer before his first night in bed with the new quilt.
I am making a little customized sham to match...stay tuned

UPDATE
Here is the pic of the sham all finished...I think dinosaur likes it.

Giveaway Goodies!

So I told you that I had won Heather's giveaway over at her blog Quiltin' Like Crazy. My goodies came in the mail today (WOW! That was fast!) and they are awesome. She also included some great ribbon and the cutest handmade quilted card. It is ADORABLE! Thanks again and I wanted to post pics before I cut into them. I am using them on my nine patch. Love them! One more thing...my little sweet Jack made me the sweetest Mother's Day pot with a flower in it. Yesterday Jack came into my craft room and showed me a box full of dirt and told me he had been digging. This is what I found in our family room. I guess a boy just has to dig in the dirt!

9 patch Quilt-a-Long

I am participating in Crazy Mom Quilts 9 patch Quilt-a-Long. The rules are to make one 9 patch a day and hopefully by the middle of summer we will have enough to make a fabulous quilt. I am using all of my scraps from current quilts and previous projects to make mine. It should end up being VERY colorful. I am having so much fun doing it so far. Here are my first 8....still haven't made todays. I will keep posting pics as I get further along.
