Pinwheels are FUN!

I just made this pinwheel quilt for the silent auction at my husband's family reunion. I just LOVE Moda Bake Shop and Jodi from Simply This That and the Other did this tutorial. I had to try it and love the way it came out and was SO happy when it went for quite a bit of money. Hopefully it will help the reunion out next year. (Some of the prairie points are not pressed....this is just out of the washer.)

Going to the country

...gonna eat a lot of peaches. Except we didn't eat any peaches but we did eat a lot of tasty fruit. Sam especially loved the grapes. The boys and I went to Mr. Tanner's parents house for a family reunion. It was a great weekend and the boys had a ball. Sammy has the bumps and bruises to prove it. Here are lots of pics to show what an amazing time it was. Still clean...we had just arrived.Helping Paw Paw nail in some nails.Garrett (Jack's new best friend) caught a lizard for Jack. He just loved it.Tasting cotton candy....YUM!Sweet Myla...she was a princess all day!Playing in the pool. Splash time.
Jack followed some other kiddos into a mud hole in the yard. Anyone who know me knows that this was hard for me...I don't like dirt...at all...but he had a great time doing it.

Cousin Casey...isn't he too cute?Sammy and Paw Paw got in the action too.

Sweet face and there are those bumps and bruises I told you about. Running to slide like Paw Paw taught them. Jack loved sliding. Here he goes! Starting to get cold. So cold but I still don't want to get out.

But Grandma made up for it and got him pizza when we got home.

A little girl love in my boy world

It's girly old me in a house filled with boys.
(And my boys are all boy....this is us trying to get an Easter picture...
why sit cute when you can wrestle on the couch?)
When I saw all these wonderful red, pink, and aqua fabrics I had to do something with them.
So I made this stacked coins quilt from a tutorial at the Moda Bake Shop. Let me just tell you....I love it. I wish it was big enough for me.Instead I will give it to my little niece...she is the only sweet little girl in my life.
Hopefully she can wrap up in it or swaddle her little babies. Why is girl stuff just so much cuter?

Coloring Eggs...and our hands!

To celebrate Good Friday we colored eggs in preparation for Easter.
What a mess!
We got all our colors ready.
Boiled the eggs.
And went to town!
Look at those hands! Even Sammy wanted to help. So much fun and what an important day to think of the sacrifice our Savior made for us. Amazing love!
