I finally figured out how to work my embroidery machine and I have gone crazy....

Simple Little Runner

My NEW love of quilting inspired me to try this tutorial.

I emphasize NEW because as you can see I am clearly a rookie

(I forgot to add the ric rac...will have to go back and fix that)!

But it looks cheery and fun on my new table.

A Work in Progress

I am working on a vintage baby quilt that I ordered form Quilt Taffy on ebay. I have everything cut and laid out and am going to pin tomorrow and start sewing. This is a very special gift to my little Sammers who turns 1 in 3 weeks. I will post pics when finished...wish me luck.

During breakfast this morning Mr. Jack decided he needed to style his hair using applesauce. So a few minutes before we were supposed to leave for school I threw him in the tub and gave him a bath...he is just so silly. I love two!

Valentine's Goodies

I have been hooked on painting on canvas and came up with this for a little holiday decor. The heart is covered in glitter but you cannot see it in the picture. They are on a 5x5 canvas and completely hand painted. I made a few extra to sell. The price would be $25 plus shipping. The cost is reflective of the price of the canvas. A little more LOVE

I have gotten out a few more things for Valentine's. My husband cannot find my Valentine's bin so I am making due with what I can find for really cheap or free.

Made this for my front door. An old frame my mom had spray painted red plus a Styrofoam heart covered in sheet moss. Add a black satin ribbon and poof....front door arrangement. This I got from Hob Lob for half-off. It is adorning my armoire.Towels hanging in my kitchen...had all of them. The red and cream one I bought awhile back on clearance. I was just waiting to do something with them so I decided to embroider love and XOXO on them. Not perfect but I like them.Made these from some scrapbook paper I had and cheap-o letters from Hob Lob. My dad has tons of wood and he and my hubby cut me the blocks.

The Big Reveal

Okay, so not so big but it is finished finally. The other day I mentioned a craft I was working on from scrap fabric for my kiddos playroom. I have been wanting to try a rag-a-muffin garland for some time and finally got my act together and finished one. I love it and it adds a bit of fun and color to the playroom. I included lots of fabrics and threw in some cute trinkets and hung pictures and a hand painting Jack did at school. I love it and I love how it hangs from the big clothespins. I think a big Wall Words would be cute right above it saying something about playing or brothers or something. A little closer to finishing the playroom.

Today was a great day. I got these.....

I can't wait to wear them with everything...jeans tucked in...short, denim skirt...cute, spring dresses....big, bulky sweaters. I love my new Frye Boots....thank you sweet hubby of mine.

Boredom and a Project-to-be

Today was a lazy day...(other than that potty training thing). We really did not do much of anything. We decided to go to my parents for dinner and on the way Jack and I were being silly with the camera and I started taking self-portraits and showing him. Jack then took over the camera and announced that it was "MINE!"

I worked in my Mom's amazing craftroom for a little while working on my project-to-be. Love her craftroom. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow so I can post it. Can you guess what it is?

Fashionably Late

I saw that Just A Girl is hosting a I Can Make That Party and wanted to join in the fun. I barely got it posted in time for her party though. I also took it as a kick in the rear to get my napkins for my kitchen table arrangement embroidered. I bought a set of napkins from HomeGoods for $4. Then I came home and fond a monogram I liked on Word and then just used three strands to hand embroider our monogram on it. They turned out great...I really like them and they didn't take long at all. The price was right too.

One More Day of BOO!

Today I finished some final prep for Halloween. I decided to glitter my BOO letters and like them SOOOOOO much better. I also made Jack's teacher a little jar full of sweets (I got the idea from a blog but can't remember where...please comment if it was you so I can give you credit!). My cauldron is filled with candy, the costumes are laid out, Jack's pumpkin cookies are all packaged and ready for his party. After tomorrow it is all over and we won't see The Great Pumpkin Patch for one more year and hopefully all this candy will be out of my house. It does not help my addiction at all to have tons of candy laying around. I hope you all have a really Happy and Safe Halloween.
