A little girl love in my boy world

It's girly old me in a house filled with boys.
(And my boys are all boy....this is us trying to get an Easter picture...
why sit cute when you can wrestle on the couch?)
When I saw all these wonderful red, pink, and aqua fabrics I had to do something with them.
So I made this stacked coins quilt from a tutorial at the Moda Bake Shop. Let me just tell you....I love it. I wish it was big enough for me.Instead I will give it to my little niece...she is the only sweet little girl in my life.
Hopefully she can wrap up in it or swaddle her little babies. Why is girl stuff just so much cuter?

Wow...you are amazing! :) And yes...I totally know what you mean about girl stuff being cuter! And the girl section is always way bigger too! :) A sign of things to come, I guess! Ha!
Bless you and your sweet family!

I love love love the quilt...so very sweet:)
And yes, girl stuff is so much cuter...I think it's b/c there is more variety to it. With boys you get 1 shirt in 12 different colors, and with girls you can buy 12 completely looking outfits....but dressing boys is less expensive:)

I totally feel ya, being the only girl in a house with 4 boys. Ok 3, but I think The Hubby really should count as 1!! Girl things are so much cuter, especially shoes. I never see cute boy shoes. Recommend anywhere?

I am so excited for Ava. She sleeps everynight with the blanket Mima made. Now she can sleep with this one. I am pumped. Looks awesome.

You boys look beautiful...I love those socks and I think I see blue shoes too.

Now on to that quilt...I knew you were up to something but this is out of this world. Did you do all of it on your own machine at home? Did you cut out all you own pieces? I like it so much...will you tell me the name of the fabric you used so I can look at my quilt store? Did you use the charm packs? I really love it and have been craving to make something like that so it's on my list!!!!

Hey now...when your little one grows out of that crib save the sides!!! I have one of the sides that lowers now hanging on the wall in my dinning room and hang linnes on it. You hang it so it looks like a ladder. You could hang a quilt or anything and IT'S YOUR BABIES CRIB! I can send you a picture if you don't understand.

Enjoy that quilt!

BEAUTIFUL!!! Why not make that the color palette for your new craft room?

Is there anything you aren't good at?

I agree! There is waaay more cute girl stuff than boy. I am the only girl in my house, too. But I do truly love it. I tend to look at the pinks and hairbows and sigh. Oh well. :)
