Flour, Butter, and Boys

Today I spent most of my day working on a cookie order I have for Halloween cookies. I needed to bake over 100 of them. I made up five batches of my No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe and started rolling out dough. Needless to say, my kitchen was a mess. I literally used 5 pounds of butter and over 30 cups of flour. In between the baking frenzy going on in my house my two little guys were acting quite silly. They wanted to play in Jack's crib and were peeking through the slats and wrestling on the floor. Jack also wanted tons of cookies and candy that he saw laying around the house. SUGAR RUSH! My husband came home tonight and while we were getting them ready for bed Jack wanted them both to wear their towels on their heads. The silliness continued until bed time. Now everyone is fast to sleep and I have over 100 cookies to decorate......ughhh!!! Maybe I will watch a movie tonight with Toby and take care of the cookeis in the morning. We'll see. Hope everyone had a great Saturday and I will post pics of the finished cookies tomorrow.

OH MY that IS a lot of cookies!! The kids are so cute!! I hope you did just relax tonight, you deserve it. I'm so glad you found my blog! The pumpkin was at Hobby Lobby in the crafts area of the fall section. You really don't need to stretch the cheesecloth, it will kind of stretch out on it's own when you get it wet with the glue mixture. Have fun and let me know if you try them!
